This post is taken from a friend‘s Facebook post. She has described the life in Mumbai, the City of Dreams, that I HAD TO post it here, on the blog (with cosmetic changes). And, having stayed in Mumbai for more than 5 years myself, I agree with each and every expression in this post. So, here it is…
Mumbai
@Mumbai Taught Me: It makes a lot of difference to catch a 8:55 AM local than to catch 9:05 AM local
@Mumbai Taught Me: distance is measured in Time and not Kilometers
@Mumbai Taught Me: How to react, how to tackle problems, and how to behave at Global Stage
@Mumbai Taught Me: There will always be someone to share the first drop of Monsoon or a pipping hot bhutta with you at the Marine Drive
@Mumbai Taught Me: That problems can’t be solved easily but can be kept away for a while by contemplatively sitting near sea
@Mumbai Taught Me: That there is a vast difference between people traveling in Western, Central and Harbor line
@Mumbai Taught Me: That you can own half of Pune or Jaipur, or buy a 2 BHK in Juhu for the same price
@Mumbai Taught Me: There is something called 0.5 BHK, and you may not able to afford it!!
@Mumbai Taught Me: How to talk to strangers without feeling awkward
@Mumbai Taught Me: We can have bus friend, train friend, office friend, building friend, gym / garden friends, but just not only school or college friend
@Mumbai Taught Me: To fight and never give up in life (locals zindabad)
@Mumbai taught Me… during Ganpati festival every building or area-wala is your friend… Though you may not meet or talk him/ her for rest of the year
@Mumbai taught me if you can survive this city you can survive” The World”!!
Ye hai Mumbai, ye hai Mumbai, ye hai Mumbaiiii meri jaaaaan!!!
